Definition

The <thead> tag is used to define group header information within a table and must be enclosed within the <table> element.

The <thead> element should only appear once within a table and and follow any <caption> or <colgroup> elements and precede any <tbody> or <tfoot> elements.

The <thead> element must contain one or more <tr> elements containing one or more <th> elements.
